Refund & Cancellation Policy

Overview

1chime is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform operated by Uniksquare. This policy explains how subscription cancellations, refunds, and prepaid wallet balances are handled. By subscribing or adding credits you agree to the terms below.

Free trial

New workspaces start with a 15-day free trial of the selected plan. No charge is made during the trial. You can cancel any time before the trial ends and you will not be billed.

Subscription billing & cancellation

  • Paid plans renew automatically (monthly or annual) until you cancel. You can cancel from Billing → Cancel plan in the dashboard at any time.
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep access to paid features until then, and you are not charged again.
  • We do not provide pro-rated refunds for the unused portion of a billing period once it has started, except where required by law.

Refunds

Subscription fees are generally non-refundable once a billing period has begun. We will, however, consider refunds at our discretion in cases such as:

  • A duplicate or accidental charge.
  • A documented billing error on our side.
  • A failure on our side to provide the paid service for an extended period.

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method via our payment processor (Razorpay) and typically appear within 5–7 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.

Wallet top-ups & pay-as-you-go usage

  • Some features (e.g. WhatsApp message sending) are metered and paid from a prepaid wallet balance you top up in advance.
  • Wallet credits are consumed as you use the service and are non-refundable once consumed.
  • Unused wallet balance may be refunded on account closure at our discretion, net of any usage already incurred and any non-refundable processing fees. Contact support to request this.

How to request a refund or cancel

To cancel, use Billing in the dashboard. To request a refund or raise a billing question, email us with your account email and the payment reference. We aim to respond within one business day.
